Amnesiascope presents The Green Ray at the Brooklyn Center for Theater Research July 15-17

My screening series Amnesiascope returns to the Brooklyn Center for Theatre Research on July 15, 16, and 17 with Éric Rohmer’s The Green Ray, co-presented by The Film Desk, Instagram sensation @rohmerfits and fragrance author Second Edition Olfactive. With the latter two, we also celebrate the launch of Le Rayon Vert, their Rohmer-inspired perfume with “notes of pear, green flowers and an ocean air accord that evokes summer melancholy.” These are the only repertoire screenings in New York that offer an opportunity to do so improve your personal hygiene.

Probably The Green Ray, whether you know various subtitle translations by heart or have never seen them, needs little introduction. But let’s just say it’s in some Rohmerian spirit that we’re presenting this film in an artist-friendly space (one that could have been plucked straight from its milieu) with drinks in hand and a benevolent cigarette roof hanging from it – a nicer, fuller one for sure experience it from your couch.

Tickets are here and the event description is below:

The Brooklyn Center for Theatre Research and Amnesiascope are proud to present Éric Rohmer’s THE GREEN RAY in partnership with The Film Desk, Second Edition Olfactive, and Rohmer Fits. These screenings will be accompanied by the launch of Second Edition and Rohmer Fits’ Le Rayon Vert—a new perfume with notes of pear, green flowers, and a sea-air accord that evokes summer melancholy—along with film-themed cocktails.
