Lainey Wilson Says She “Could Barely Sell a Ticket” After ‘Things a Man Oughta Know’ Reached No. 1

Even with a #1 hit in 2021 “Things a Man Should Know,” country superstar Laine Wilson had difficulty selling tickets for the show.

In a recent interview with NBC News Sunday TODAYLainey reflected on her career and shared a surprising fact that some people didn’t know.

“Well, even after ‘Things a Man Oughta Know’ with our first hit, I could barely sell a ticket,” she recalls, shaking her head. “It was really strange. You know, a lot of people know the songs on the radio, but they don’t know who sings them.”

“I need to be on TikTok as much as possible. They need to know me as a friend and then also get to know my music. So I really started working on it,” Lainey says.

The reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year also discussed her move to Nashville, meaning “Country’s Cool Again” and her induction into the Grand Ole Opry.
