Videos show brawl at Rick Ross show in Vancouver

Violence broke out after Rick Ross’ performance at a music festival in Vancouver on Sunday, with the influential rapper reportedly attacked during the melee.

Several videos on social media show attendees punching and kicking each other after Ross’ performance at the Ignite Music Festival.

Ross was reportedly attacked during the brawl, although the incident does not appear to have soured his experience.

“Vancouver, it was fun, see you next time,” he wrote on social media Monday morning after posting a video of himself laughing and drinking Luc Belaire blue sparkling wine.

CTV News has reached out to Vancouver police and Ignite Music Festival organizers for more information.

Commentators have speculated that tensions flared when Ross left the stage during Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” one of several diss tracks the Pulitzer Prize-winning American rapper released this year aimed at Canadian artist Drake.

The song can be heard in the background of videos of Sunday’s incident.
