A Brazos County woman is in jail for the 10th time in the past nine months.

Arrest reports from the College Station and Bryan police indicate that the victim in all ten cases is the same person.

Jail records show this is the eighth time Yessennia Sala, 43, has been charged with violating a protective order.

The eighth arrest came after midnight on Saturday (June 29) after College Station police responded to a report of Sala and the protected person arguing in the parking lot of the HEB store at the corner of Texas and Holleman.

The seventh arrest, by Bryan police, came on Thursday (June 27) following a report that Sala and the protected person were arguing at the victim’s home.

Online court records show Sala is still awaiting trial in two other cases alleging violations of protective orders, set for Sept. 28, 2023, and Oct. 2, 2023.

Other arrests for violating a protective order occurred on October 14, 2023, November 5, 2023, December 15, 2023, and February 10, 2024.

Jail records show Sala was arrested on Sept. 17, 2023, for domestic violence causing bodily injury and on June 1, 2024, for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Jail records show Sala, who has lived in both Bryan and College Station, posted bail totaling $206,000 based on her nine previous arrests.

As of July 1, she remains held pending a $30,000 bail.
