DeMar DeRozan Talks Cameo in Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ Video

Sacramento King DeMar DeRozan has opened up about his surprise cameo in Kendrick Lamar’s music video for “Not Like Us.”

DeRozan played his first nine NBA seasons with the Toronto Raptors, Drake’s hometown team, but he is originally from Compton.

“I love Drake, I’ve always been able to have him play (at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center),” DeRozan told Fox40’s Sean Cunningham. “Kendrick’s my friend, family. Almost family, been around for a long time, been around for a while. We’re from the same city, we live in the same neighborhood over there.”

“It’s always been there,” DeRozan added. “It’s not always publicized, but it’s basically family.”

NBA star Russell Westbrook also stars in the video. Drizzy’s friend LeBron James doesn’t appear, but he did show up at Lamar’s Pop Put concert on Juneteenth and was captured in the video rapping along to the song and dancing in the crowd.

De Rozan was also present at the Pop Out concert and shared the stage with K.Dot.
