Bigg Boss OTT 2’s Jiya Shankar Gives Boss Response To Troll Who Posted ‘Racist’ Comments

Bigg Boss — the name alone is enough to remind the audience of all the ugly controversies surrounding the show and its contestants. While the latest season of Bigg Boss OTT has already taken a dramatic turn with heated discussions and twists, former contestant Jiya Shankar has courted controversy with her recent comments on social media. Known for her participation in Bigg Boss OTT season 2, actor Jiya Shankar was seen hitting out at a troll who made racist comments on her picture. But what exactly happened that led to the actress’ fierce outburst?

To start, in a now-deleted post, an X user shared a photo of Jiya Shankar posing with a group of boys, sharing a fun moment. However, he added a mocking comment, saying, “I hate my mind… time to go to hell.”

Irked by his remarks, the actress directly confronted him on the microblogging platform and also called on the Mumbai Police Cyber Cell Department to take action. The actress criticized the user for his “cheap mentality” and racist views. “I hope you rot in hell! So women are not allowed to take pictures with black people, be it their friends/colleagues/fans or people like you who come out with your cheap racist p*rn addicted mentality and think about p*rn even if it’s a normal decent picture? Now I know why p*rn is banned in our country! People who laugh and support this shit should be ashamed,” she wrote.

The original post was deleted, but not before it caught the internet’s attention. Many took screenshots of the photo along with his comment. Fans also took to Jiya’s comment section and supported her stance. One user wrote, “Exactly!!! What else can we expect from such people? Please take action Mumbai Police.”

Another noted: “Several people get trolled on social media every day, but that doesn’t mean it should be normalized or appropriated. Such incidents are the causes that have led to many suicide cases, so much so that I believe there should be strict rules for the same.”

A user shared a screenshot of the original post and asked the Mumbai Police to investigate the matter.

“I love how you stand up for yourself,” one person praised the actress.
