Argentina vs Colombia: Copa America final prediction, kick-off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h, odds

This weekend the Copa America is at stake as Argentina take on Colombia.

Only once before have Los Cafeteros been crowned the Kings of South America, in 2001, and remarkably they have not reached the final since then.

Argentina have not suffered from such droughts and are aiming to win their 16th Copa America, which would see them overtake Uruguay as the all-time record holder for winning the trophy.

The reigning champions won this year’s tournament with ease, conceding only one goal and surprisingly outplaying Canada in the semi-finals.

Colombia finished top of Group D, ahead of Brazil, but beat Uruguay to reach the final. The match was marred by clashes between fans and players in the stands.

Date, start time and location

Argentina vs Colombia team news

Lionel Messi recovered from a leg injury to play the full 90 minutes of Argentina’s win over Canada and is expected to return to the starting lineup in Miami.

Julian Alvarez’s semi-final goal should ensure he retains his place in the starting line-up at the expense of Lautaro Martinez, while Lionel Scaloni has a stable defence at his disposal with Lisandro Martinez and Cristian Romero in central defence.

There are still a few question marks in midfield, with Nico Gonzalez and Giovani Lo Celso battling for value ahead of Alexis Mac Allister, who has been playing on the left in a 4-4-2 formation.

Colombia will be without Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz after his red card against Uruguay, with Santiago Arias expected to play at right-back.

James Rodriguez will lead the team and will play in attack alongside Liverpool’s Jhon Cordoba and Luis Diaz.
