‘People don’t need an Aadhaar card to meet me’

Congress leader Vikramaditya Singh on Thursday hit out at BJP leader and Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut after the latter said that if someone needs to get his work done, he can send it in writing along with a copy of his Aadhaar card. The Congress leader attacked Kangana and said that no one needs an Aadhaar card to meet him.

“Nobody needs an Aadhaar card to meet me, anyone from any corner of the state can meet me for their work,” Vikramaditya wrote on his Facebook account. He was contesting the Lok Sabha elections against Kangana from Mandi.

Earlier, Kangana had met the family members of a man, Dhandev, who has reportedly been missing in Kuwait since June 24, days after the Kuwait fire incident. Addressing a press conference after the inauguration of MP Jan Samvad Kendra in Mandi, she said people can approach her with their problems.

She also said that if the people of the state need to get any work done, they can write a letter and attach their Aadhaar card copy along with the same letter. Their issues will be addressed.

Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut, who secured her maiden victory on a BJP ticket in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi, took oath as a Member of Parliament on the first day of the 18th Lok Sabha on June 24.

Ranaut said she will discharge the responsibility she has as an MP to serve the people of her constituency Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, “with full dedication”.

She defeated Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
