Work crews continue to make progress on the construction project on the Knoch High School campus.

The Knoch school board approved several change orders during its meeting Wednesday night, totaling just under $100,000. Among the items is replacing the eight-inch gas line to the high school for a cost not to exceed $45,000.

Additional change orders include replacing terracotta pipes, repairing the auditorium roof and landscaping the courtyard. Also included are encasing an existing storm drain, additional excavation work to repair the gas line, modifying a drain inlet and removing a roof hatch.

With 70 to 90 workers on site each day, the steel is expected to be finished by the end of the month, followed by the floor in August. Plasterboarding and concrete pouring will begin. Asphalt work will begin in a few weeks, along with the outer skin.
