Plymouth Argyle working to improve fans’ home match experience

Plymouth Argyle are expanding the facilities at their two fan zones outside Home Park for matchdays next season.

Two large screens, which have been used alongside the Home Park pitch in recent weeks to broadcast England’s matches at Euro 2024, are part of the additional offering, as are additional food and beverage facilities.

The fan zone directly outside the Mayflower Grandstand opened for the start of last season, while the other fan zone opposite the stadium, known as the ‘Mayflower Quarter’, has been operational since January.

Christian Kent, Argyle’s head of venues, told Plymouth Live: “We’ve spent a lot of time over the summer thinking about ways to make the stadium more attractive to supporters and make the most of the space.

“There will be two large screens permanently installed: one in the Mayflower Grandstand fan zone and the other in the larger fan zone, which we call the Mayflower Quarter.

“We’ve also added some extra concessions, there’s a bigger bar and the Argyle Community Trust will be selling their Project 35 pizzas from the Mayflower Quarter, which are going to be really good. They’ll also be offering some extra family activities.
