COLUMBUS—The Ohio House of Representatives recently passed Substitute House Bill 2, authorizing the state’s two-year construction budget for capital projects across Ohio. This capital budget will provide historic investments in local community projects, announced State Rep. Bill Roemer (R-District 31).
Barberton City Hall and Justice Center will specifically receive $1 million to renovate the space that houses the Barberton Municipal Court, the Clerk of Court, the Barberton Police Department, the Barberton Law Department and the Barberton District Attorney’s Office.
“I am pleased to bring capital funds back to the Barberton community to support this vital project,” Roemer said. “This investment will support all parts of our local government for years to come.”
Replacement Bill 2 was signed into law by Governor Mike DeWine on June 28.
