ZONE Laser Tag USA Championships kick off in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Competition comes to Ultrazone Family Entertainment from around the world for the chance to win the Zone Laser Tag (ZLT) US Championships.

Laser tag players will compete in courses and solo matches throughout the four-day tournament for stats and trophies. Luke Beckwith, Managing Director of Ultrazone Family Entertainment, stated that the winner of this event will have the opportunity to advance to other competitions held in Australia and Europe.


Beckwith said players from Australia and Europe have come to Fort Wayne to compete in the competition and he said he’s looking forward to playing with other laser tag enthusiasts.

“I’ve been competing for 16 years now,” Beckwith said. “I’ve been all over the United States, Australia, Sweden, Germany. It’s nice to have that support back here, locally… it just brings a sense of community together, everyone’s here to have a good time.”

The event kicks off Thursday with an opening ceremony at 5pm EST, with competition beginning on Friday. The tournament runs from Friday to Sunday, from 8am to 6pm EST each day. Matches will take place between Ultrazone Family Entertainment has been closed since July 12th, but will reopen on July 15th.
