Charlotte, NC, Aug. 8, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Carowinds’ Camp Snoopy will unveil two new family-friendly attractions in 2025 as part of the largest investment in family attractions in the park’s history: a new family-friendly roller coaster and an interactive raft ride. These additions will offer more ways for families to cool off and new character experiences, along with splash play zones and a meet-and-greet experience with Peanuts™ costumed characters. The new attractions promise endless adventure fun for guests of all ages, making Camp Snoopy a must-see for family fun in 2025.
New attractions:
- Snoopy’s Race Track: Guests can join Snoopy as he races to deliver root beer and pizza to Camp Snoopy’s canteen, where Woodstock and his yellow bird friends cause quite the ruckus. This family-friendly steel launch coaster accelerates from 0 to 30 mph in seconds and offers a thrilling adventure for all ages. Riders experience thrilling drops and wild turns to ensure deliveries arrive safely and on time. Riders have double the fun as they race through the track twice.
- Charlie Brown’s raft trip on the river: Families can hop aboard an eight-seater boat at Snoopy’s swimming hole and enjoy a splashing and splashing adventure with family and friends. Equipped with water cannons on board and on land, riders can have friendly water fights with other boats and splash each other as they cruise through the river channel. With their trusty side-mounted water cannon, they can share in the excitement with other campers. Throughout their journey, riders will encounter their favorite Peanuts characters swimming, floating and splashing – all eager to get them wet with fun!
“We’re excited to introduce the newest adventures at Camp Snoopy in 2025,” said Manny Gonzalez, vice president and general manager of Carowinds. “Our reimagined Camp Snoopy allows families to ride and play together, immersing them in a summer camp experience with the Peanuts gang. From the exciting twists and turns of Snoopy’s racetrack to the splashes of Charlie Brown’s River Raft Blast, our focus is on family fun. These new features will transform Camp Snoopy into more than just a place to play and cool off; it will become a destination for family memories.”
New improvements:
- Splash play areas: Families can escape the heat at Camp Snoopy’s brand new splash and play areas. Featuring more shade and refreshing water features, these areas are designed to keep everyone cool and having fun. The ample shade and water make it the perfect place to relax on a hot Carolina summer day.
- Meet and Greet Experience at Camp Store: Guests can enter the newly redesigned Camp Store to meet costumed Peanuts characters in an interactive, camp-themed meet-and-greet area. Featuring rustic wooden benches surrounding a cozy fire pit, this climate-controlled environment offers ideal photo opportunities and unforgettable encounters with favorite characters.
