If you CashApp Since 2018, you may be entitled to a portion of a $15 million compensation award. This came after Block Inc., the owner of Cash App, faced allegations of negligence due to two major data breaches.
In 2022, a former employee accessed account data without permission, affecting around 8.2 million users. This led to a class action lawsuit against Block and Cash App Investing for failing to protect user data. The following year, another incident occurred in which an unauthorized user accessed Cash App accounts using reused phone numbers.
Block denied any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $15 million.
