Commercial Truck Repair celebrates opening of new site in Cornwall

Commercial Truck Repair has moved to a new state-of-the-art facility in Cornwall, Ontario, where it offers truck and trailer repairs as well as sales of Autocar trucks and a number of trailer brands.

The company moved on November 15, 2023, but only celebrated the opening this summer. Local guests, vendors and politicians were invited to the ceremonial opening of the new, air-conditioned store with 14 parking spaces.

The site also includes a new 740 m² traction parts workshop.

“We spared no expense on the tools,” said Fred Woods, the company’s business development manager. “Raymond Desormeaux, general manager, believes that in addition to providing our customers with an excellent parts department, our technicians must be comfortable so they can get the most value. That means our 14-bay garage is fully air-conditioned and has underfloor heating for the winter months.”

The company currently employs 39 people at the new location and represents the brands JC Trailers, Gincor Werx, BeauRoc, Gatormade Trailers, Tailift forklifts and Starke electric lifts. It also services Hino trucks, Cummins engines and Allison transmissions.

“Our campus is ready to support not only local transportation and transient customer base, but our sales team has also been successful in other provinces from New Brunswick to Alberta,” said Woods.
