Drake just named Serena Williams as one of the inspirations for one of his hits.

In a clip circulating on social media, Drake is seen sitting in a studio session and talking to his mother, Sandi Garaham, who is standing off-screen.
As his collaboration with Rihanna in 2016 shows, Too good, While “The 40 Fingers” was playing, the mother-son duo discussed the track, in which Garaham described her opinion of Drake’s music as “very light,” adding that the musician doesn’t “care deeply about things,” which Drake disagreed with.
“…I’ll take a few joints, but this is more about me and Serena,” he explained.
“It’s funny because when I write songs about women, I also write songs for them. So I know what kind of song to write. If I’m talking about them, at least I’m doing them justice by writing them a song that they like,” Drake said.
He continued: “I know Serena very well and I know she will hear it loud and clear but won’t hate me for it because it’s lighthearted.”
