Today, country/soul singer/songwriter Drake White announced that his new album, The elevated road in the lowlandswill be released on September 20th.
For the highly anticipated new album, White digs deeper into his creative bag than ever before, presenting a 13-song collection that features some of his most inspired and meaningful songs to date. It includes the previously released singles “Life, Love, and War” and “10lbs of S#!T.”
Alongside the album announcement, White has released a new single with a plaintive gospel twist: “Faith.” Co-written with acclaimed songwriter Jonathan Singleton, “Faith” shows the ever-vulnerable musician exposing emotional layers like never before.”I was like a flying headlight / On the midnight highway / And tried not to look behind me / At the roads I didn’t take / ‘Cause the one I’m on / Is the one I’m on tonight” White sings over a moving gospel choir, while a bluesy electric guitar reaches a crescendo toward the song’s climax.

“Faith” follows what was already a stellar year for White—he released the wisdom-laden “Life, Love and War” in June and the mischievous country-rock anthem “10lbs of S#!T” the month before. In parallel, he’s been taking a victory lap for much of 2024 since 2023, after releasing the now-iconic EP “The Bridge.” “The Bridge” features seven songs full of inspiration, love and conviction. Each track was co-written by White with a cast that includes Maren Morris, Ryan Hurd, Leslie Satcher and more, combining brand new tracks with reimagined versions of fan favorites and a collaboration with Colbie Caillat.
The critically acclaimed artist and songwriter has been on tour for the past few months: White crisscrossed the country on his hugely successful THE BRIDGE TOUR, supporting Jamey Johnson on select dates. White’s 2024 tour is currently scheduled to end on September 28 in Lakeland, Florida. Full tour details and ticket information can be found here.
