Aside from her pencil sharpener dance (no shade, it’s iconic) and perfectly groomed eyebrows, our favorite aspect of Dua Lipa is her hair; whether she’s sporting her iconic bob or extra, extra long extensions, the star always looks like a ✨goddess✨. And today, it’s the latter of the two hairstyles that has us “floating” – a braid is “all you need.” Man, song puns never get old…
In a recent Instagram post, Dua seems to have started a new fashion trend, and it’s with XXL hair extensions. Confused, right? Well, she’s braided her long locks into a waist-length ponytail and instead of just letting it fall to her waist (because that’s boring, of course), she’s draped it around her shoulders. Basically like a winter scarf.
It’s just as stunning as Beyoncé’s perfectly braided braid on the 2016 Formation World Tour…IYKYK. Take a (Dula) look (shout out to Miss Wendy) at everything we’re talking about in the six-part carousel below:
Oh, and the zigzag parting as seen in slide four also deserves an honorable mention for its beauty. The 90s called and said they wanted their style back… I told them it belongs in 2023 now.
I don’t want to go on, but can we also (yes, there’s more) take a moment to gush about the makeup look as shown on slide two? I mean, the combination of shimmery eyeshadow, matte peach lipstick, and fluffy eyebrows really has us in a stranglehold.
Dua, just keep doing what you’re doing and we’ll happily fangirl (and recreate it) from afar.
