Find out what the Canton Community Center can mean to you tonight at the Summer Bash hosted by Recreation

CANTON – A summer party to be held tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Canton Pavilion and Bend in the River Park will celebrate the end of the Canton Recreation Department’s summer program and introduce the public to plans to create a Canton Community Center.

The event will feature food vendors and family-oriented recreational activities at the Canton Pavilion and Bend in the River Park from 6 to 9 p.m.

There will also be an information stand about the community center concept and a registration list for volunteers.

Summer Bash features bouncy castles ($5 admission), lawn games, food vendors and a plunge pool with a six-person line.

Buy three balls for $5, eight balls for $10, or spend $20 to simply press the dunk button: Ryan Hughes, a Canton Recreation employee, Mayor Michael Dalton, Township Supervisor Barbara Beekman, Councilwoman Mary Ann Ashley, Mike Wentworth, retired Canton Central School teacher and coach, and Randy Brown, Councilman, retired Canton Central teacher and coach.

All funds generated go directly to Canton Recreation’s summer programs.
