The 24 days of fun at the State Fair of Texas are just around the corner.
Here’s what we know so far about the 2024 State Fair of Texas so you can start planning your trip to the annual festivities at Fair Park in Dallas.
EVENTS 27 September 2024 to 20 October 2024
HOURS The fair’s official calendar has yet to be released, but once it is, you can access it here. In the past, parking gates and ticket booths opened at 9am daily. Exhibition buildings, food stalls and outdoor exhibits typically opened at 10am daily, while closing at 9pm Sunday through Thursday and 10pm Friday and Saturday. Museum and ballroom opening hours vary.
LOCATION Located in the 277-acre Fair Park, just off Interstate 30, southeast of downtown Dallas. If you’re using your GPS, enter this address: 3809 Grand Ave., Dallas.
ADMISSION AND DISCOUNTS Currently, you can purchase premium individual tickets that give you the flexibility to visit the fair on any day you want. Prices start at $24. Find out more here. You can also purchase season passes there that allow unlimited access to the fair. There are also group tickets (starting at $16 for groups of 25 or more) and corporate programs. Day passes go on sale starting September 16.
VOUCHERS Food, games and rides on the fairgrounds must be paid for with vouchers. You can get them online at bigtex.com/buy-tickets-new (sold in $50 packages for in-person pickup at the fair) or at kiosks on the fairgrounds. Vouchers cost $1 each. They do not expire. Midway game tickets with balances from 2022 or earlier can be exchanged for food and Midway vouchers at any of the fair’s guest relations locations (on the fairgrounds near the Top o’ Texas Tower and in the Centennial Building).
