With no preliminary bouts scheduled, the final day of wrestling at the 2024 Olympics starts and ends early, but there is still a battle between U.S. athletes for the bronze and gold medals. All the action will be broadcast live on Peacock starting at 5 a.m. ET (11 a.m. in Paris) and delayed on USA Network starting at 10 a.m. ET.

The United States will be represented on the final day of the 2024 Olympic Games by:
Zain Retherford reached the repechage round in the 65-kilogram class, but withdrew from the tournament for medical reasons. Retherford is a graduate of Benton High School in Pennsylvania and a three-time NCAA champion at Penn State who is competing in his first Olympic Games. He won the silver medal in the 70-kilogram class at the 2023 World Championships.
Kyle Snyder will compete for a 97-kilogram bronze medal when that competition is scheduled to begin at 6:35 a.m. ET. Snyder, a three-time NCAA champion at Ohio State, is now with Penn State’s Nittany Lion Wrestling Club and is trying to win his third consecutive Olympic medal. He was a silver medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and won gold in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro.

Kennedy Blades is a 20-year-old phenom who will compete for a gold medal in the women’s freestyle in the 76-kilogram class against Japan’s Yuka Kagami. After finishing second in the 2020 Olympic team trials at the age of 17, Blades defeated Olympic silver medalist Adeline Gray in 2024 to secure the spot in the 76-kilogram class.
Blades, who attended high school at Wyoming Seminary in Pennsylvania, made it to the finals by defeating Aiperi Medet Kyzy of Kyrgyzstan 8-6 in the semifinals.
