Juárez professional boxer Bryan “Little Marvelous Child” Flores lost a 10-round decision to fellow Mexican Lindolfo Delgado on Saturday night at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque in a fight televised by ESPN.
The two junior welterweights went head to head before Delgado was awarded the victory on two judges’ scores: 96-92 and 95-93. The other judge scored it 96-92 for Flores.
Delgado improved to 21-0 with 15 knockouts, Flores is now 26-1-1 with 15 knockouts.

Delgado fought at a moderate pace and knocked Flores down with a counter right hand in the third round, but Flores began landing rights of his own and forced Delgado into the ropes in the middle rounds.
Flores was deducted a point in the seventh round for striking below the belt, and Delgado increased his striking power in the eighth round to slow Flores’ advance. The two traded blows with left hooks and short right punches from close range for the remaining two rounds.
“The victory was not easy, but I enjoyed it very much,” said Delgado. “I enjoyed every round because we had to stay focused at every moment to win the fight.”
