According to a royal author, Kate Middleton has no time for drama during her cancer treatment.
The 42-year-old Princess of Wales has been undergoing chemotherapy for five months since announcing her diagnosis to the world in March.
And as she now turns her focus to her recovery, royal author Robert Jobson says the princess is keeping a cool head despite the circumstances.
“She’s very quiet,” Jobson told Hello! magazine. “She’s a person who wants to find solutions and rise above the noise and drama. And I think when you consider what she’s been through, you don’t want to waste time on noise and drama when it comes to your health.”
“You live day by day; you do the things you want to do,” he added.
While Jobson did not elaborate on what drama the popular royal is staying away from, she is notably embroiled in an ongoing dispute with her husband’s estranged brother, Prince Harry, and his wife Meghan Markle.
Tensions reached an all-time high after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex resigned as senior working members of the royal family in 2020 and moved to the United States.
Since then, there has been virtually no communication between the two camps.
Jobson, whose book “Catherine, the Princess of Wales” was released this week, also pointed out that Princess Catherine has made it clear that she will not be pressured into “doing things she doesn’t necessarily want to do” – including returning to her royal duties.
“It takes quite a lot of courage because you’re in a very alienated world,” Jobson told the outlet. “But I think she realised she only has one chance. She’s got three young children and they have to come first.”
Middleton, who shares Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis with her husband Prince William, is apparently making the most of the “time she will never get back” with her children, Jobson adds.
“The difference between her and other people is that you go through different phases in your career,” he said, adding: “Her career is becoming more and more official.”
After two spectacular public appearances this year, the mother of three is now returning to a life away from the spotlight and continuing her treatment.
Earlier this week, it was announced that the mother of three will join the royal family on their annual summer holiday in the countryside at Balmoral.
The 42-year-old princess will move to the luxurious Scottish estate to join her husband and children later this month.
The family will meet with King Charles and Queen Camilla, where Their Majesties are spending their entire summer holidays.
Her trip to Scotland will be her furthest journey in 2024 since she underwent abdominal surgery in January.
After the shocking announcement of her cancer diagnosis in March, she stayed out of the public eye to concentrate on her treatment.
Just three months later, the Queen wrote in a letter that she was “making good progress” but had had “good days and bad days” during her chemotherapy.
The following day, Middleton joined the royal family in King Charles’ birthday celebrations on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at the Trooping the Colour ceremony.
Last month, she took part in the Wimbledon tennis championships, which will reportedly be her last public appearance for the foreseeable future.
