Mass Effect, Dragon Age and more are available at super low prices in EA’s big Steam sale

It feels like the big Steam Summer Sale has only just ended, but there’s already a new set of deals to replace it. EA, the publisher behind franchises like Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and the Star Wars: Jedi games, is currently offering massive discounts across its catalog.

The sale, which you’ll find on the Steam store, runs until August 17 – meaning you’ve got just under two weeks to snap up some gems. For a publisher as big as EA, the selection during this sale is pretty impressive. Highlights include the entire Dragon Age franchise, which you can get for a total of ten dollars, so if you were excited by the trailers for the next installment in the series, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, now’s the perfect time to get into the first three games. If you’re sticking with the RPG, you can also grab Dragon Age developer BioWare’s space epic Mass Effect for nine dollars, and that’s the entire trilogy remake released in 2021. Newer games are also heavily discounted, like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and 2023’s Dead Space remake, which are on sale for over half their list price.

Aside from the obvious options, there are also some older classics and underrated titles that you should pick up while they’re discounted. Indie games you shouldn’t ignore include this year’s emotionally charged Metroidvania Tales of Kenzera: Zau, ocean horror game Sea of Solitude, and co-op prison break adventure A Way Out.

Here are some of the best discounts to look out for during the EA sale:

  • Star Wars Jedi: Survivor – US$31.49 ($69.99)
  • Tales of Kenzera: Zau – $14.99 ($19.99)
  • Mass Effect: Legendary Edition – $8.99 ($59.99)
  • Dragon Age: Origins – Ultimate Edition – US$2.99 ($29.99)
  • Dragon Age II: Ultimate Edition – US$3.99 ($39.99)
  • Dragon Age: Inquisition – US$2.99 ($29.99)
  • A way out – $5.99 ($29.99)
  • Sea of Solitude – $4.99 ($19.99)
  • Dead Space (2023) – US$20.99 ($59.99)
  • Dead Space 2 – 3.99 (19.99)
  • Battlefield 2042 Elite Edition – US$22.49 ($89.99)
  • Need for Speed Unbound Palace Edition – $15.99 ($79.99)
  • Burnout Paradise – $3.99 ($19.99)
  • Mirror’s Edge Catalyst – $4.99 (19.99)

However, if you could only buy one game during the EA sale, I wouldn’t choose any of these titles, new or old. Instead, I’d get Titanfall 2, which costs just three bucks! That’s a steal for what is probably the best first-person shooter produced in at least a decade. Seriously, if you haven’t played Respawn’s movement-focused mech shooter, you should change that.
