Ohio State football program is in danger of elimination in August

Ohio State football has had the best recruiting class in the country for some time. They have 24 commitments for the 2025 recruiting class and were hoping to sign even more top-tier talent. The Buckeyes have some really good players in this class.

Still, August could have been great for them. There are several high-profile recruits committing in August. So far, none of them have committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes. It’s a pattern that raises concerns considering how they plan to close out the recruiting class.

The Buckeyes lost a five-star recruit to a Big Ten opponent. What’s worse is that this kid is a promising in-state player and Ohio State was the favorite to land him from the start. Now the Buckeyes are about to lose the chance to get the best offensive lineman in the country.

It’s a shame the Buckeyes have already lost those two five-star recruits. To salvage the month and complete the 2025 recruiting class, they need to sign Jaime Ffrench. Ffrench is a five-star receiver who has been a favorite for the Buckeyes for some time.

Ffrench would be the only five-star receiver they have in this class. If the Buckeyes lose him to Texas, Brian Hartline would still have nothing to be ashamed of. His recruiting record is the best of any assistant coach on the Buckeyes’ coaching staff.

Still, it would be another disappointing stretch if Ffrench isn’t landed. But it’s not all doom and gloom. Even with a disappointing finish to the class of 2025, the Buckeyes still have a real chance to have the best recruiting class in the country.
