A Beginner’s Guide to Antique Shopping in the Coachella Valley
The Coachella Valley is known for its amazing thrift stores, but if you don’t know where to start, let us help you.
Local shoppers can now be supported by the City of Palm Springs with a new gift card program called “Love Local Palm Springs.”
The program allows participants to purchase gift cards valued up to $200, with the city contributing an additional 50% of the value. That means a consumer can spend $100 on a gift card that would be worth $150 after the city’s contribution.
“The Love Local Palm Springs gift card program is a great new way to explore the vibrant destination of Palm Springs and support our super cool local businesses,” Mayor Jeffrey Bernstein said in a statement. “There really is something for everyone in Palm Springs!”
The cards can currently only be redeemed at just over 60 local establishments, but more may be added in the next few days.
Those interested can purchase the cards at lovelocalps.com, where a full list of eligible restaurants and shops is also available.
The city’s share of the card must be spent by September 30.
