HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A Deltona elementary school teacher has been accused of sending inappropriate messages to a 14-year-old student via an online dating app.
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) received a report from the Hernando County School District on Monday about a young student engaging in inappropriate conversations with 47-year-old Michael Ronald Iannaccone.
Deputies stated that the conversations between the student and Iannaccone involved him explaining to the student the sexual acts he would like to teach her.
Investigators confirmed that Iannaccone knew throughout the conversations that the student was a minor.
The following day, officials said they continued to have online conversations with the teacher through the student’s account and discussed various sexual acts with the teenager, including during his teaching shift.
HCSO arrested Iannaccone at the Hernando County School District office on Wednesday and took him into custody.
