Steph Curry takes sides in the dispute between Kendrick Lamar and Drake

It looks like Stephen Curry has chosen a side in the ongoing dispute between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. A few weeks ago, the Golden State Warriors point guard was seen warming up when Lamar’s chart-topping single “Not Like Us” blared from the speakers. In the video Curry expresses his frustration about hearing the song so many times and saying, “It’s not the only song in America.”

Some fans interpreted this as Curry taking sides and showing loyalty to his longtime pal Drake, who had previously mentioned him in songs like “0 To 100.” Lamar also mentioned Curry in his tracks, as did Lebron James – most notably in Drake’s other diss track, “Meet The Grahams,” in which he warns them to stay away from Drake.

In a recent interview with GQ SportsCurry revealed that he still rocks with Drake and has always been a fan.

“I’m a huge Drake fan. I’ve been for a long time,” Curry said. “I think you obviously know what it means to the rap industry to have something like that, but I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely.”

The feud between Lamar and Drake rocked not only the hip-hop landscape this summer, but also the sports world. Lamar called out Sacramento Kings power forward DeMar DeRozan on “Not Like Us,” and DeRozan even appeared in the video. DeRozan later shared that he has not chosen a sideand that he and Drake are still friends.

However, the same cannot be said of Drake and Serena Williams, who certainly had a few words for Drake at the ESPYs in July.
