Swift won the award for Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year for “Midnights” at the awards ceremony held on Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The friendship between Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran is over.
Both stars attended the 2024 Grammy Awards on Sunday and a cute video shared on social media shows Swift ruffling Sheeran’s hair as they sipped cocktails and chatted with Ice Spice and producer RIOTUSA after the ceremony. In the clip, Swift plays with Sheeran’s signature red locks before pulling him in for a hug and a chat.
Longtime friends Swift, 34, and Sheeran, 32, were both nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album for midnight And – (Subtract)at the ceremony – although the “Karma” singer ultimately won the award. Her 10th original studio album also won Album of the Year, making Swift the first artist to take home the coveted award four times.

In her acceptance speech for the Album of the Year award, Swift spoke of her love for the music industry.
“I would love to tell you this is the best moment in my life. But I feel so happy when I finish a song, or when I crack the code to a bridge that I love, or when I’m filmed performing a music video, or when I’m rehearsing with my dancers or my band, or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show,” she said, teasing the start of The Eras Tour in 2024 next week.
“For me, the award is the work. I just want to be able to keep doing this. I love it so much. It makes me so happy. It blows my mind that it makes some people happy who voted for this award. I just want to keep doing this. So thank you for giving me the opportunity to do what I love so much,” Swift said.

The 14-time Grammy winner also praised her friends Jack Antonoff and Lana Del Rey, who were on stage with her. “I get to work with one of my best friends, who is not only one of my best friends, but also a once in a generation producer. That’s Jack Antonoff. I’m so lucky,” she added.
Following the trend of thanking her co-writers, she added, “But I think so many artists wouldn’t be where they are today and wouldn’t have the inspiration they have if it wasn’t for the work that (Lana) has done. I think she’s an artist of legacy, a legend in her prime. I’m so lucky to know you and to be your friend.”
Swift surprised her fans on Sunday night with more than just history. While she won the best pop vocal album for midnightshe announced her 11th studio album, The “Tortured Poets” sectionwill be released on April 19th.
