It’s always sad when summer comes to an end. But the good news is that Labor Day means another long weekend—not to mention the opportunity to save on a ton of merchandise before the holiday shopping season really kicks off. Even though Labor Day isn’t until September 2, many retailers are already offering deep discounts on a range of tech products, some of which rival the Prime Day deals we saw in July.
For example, Apple’s latest generation iPad is currently on sale for less than $200. Other edge-approved items have also dropped to all-time lows (or nearly so), including Sonos’ Era 100 speaker, Amazon’s latest Echo Spot, and the entry-level Kindle. Granted, many of these products have been a bit cheaper in the past—and it’s possible we’ll see even better deals at Amazon’s next Prime Day event in October—but now is a good time to pick up any last-minute school supplies you might need or start working on your holiday wish list. After all, it rarely hurts to get a head start, even if your wallet might say otherwise.
Update, August 30: Updated to reflect current pricing and several new deals, including those on Insta360’s Link webcam, Sonos Roam 2, and Garmin’s Forerunner 265.
