Paramount+, the Streaming service which is broadcast by CBS NFL gamesand Paramount+ originals like Mayor of Kingstown will increase their prices on August 20, 2024. If you’re a new or existing subscriber and want to lock in the current prices, we have a suggestion: Sign up for an annual subscription.
A yearly subscription to Paramount+ already saves you money over the current monthly price, but with the monthly price increasing to $8 later this month (for the Paramount+ Essential tier), a yearly subscription is even better value for $60.

What different pricing tiers does Paramount offer?
Paramount+ offers two pricing tiers. The Paramount+ Essential tier gives subscribers access to all NFL games broadcast by CBS for the upcoming 2024-2025 football season, UEFA Champions League games broadcast by CBS, and 24/7 live news coverage with CBS News. You also get on-demand access to the huge library of Paramount movies and TV shows (CBS, MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon).
Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers get everything Paramount+ Essential subscribers get, plus the live feed of their local CBS affiliate, live sports like the Masters and NSWL, and the ability to download Paramount+ content to watch later. Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers can enjoy on-demand content ad-free.
How much will the price of Paramount+ increase?
The increased prices for new subscribers will take effect on August 20, 2024. Existing subscribers will see the new prices on their billing statement on or around September 20, 2024.
- Paramount+ Essential currently costs $5.99 per month. The price will increase to $7.99 per month on August 20, 2024.
- Paramount+ with Showtime currently costs $11.99 per month. The price will increase to $12.99 per month on August 20, 2024.
- The price of annual subscriptions to Paramount+ Essential ($60 per year) and Paramount+ with Showtime ($120 per year) remains unchanged.
To avoid the monthly plan price increase, we recommend upgrading to an annual plan. New subscribers can test the platform by taking advantage of the streamer’s seven-day free trial.
