Just call her Pink Paige Bueckers.
The veteran UConn defender, who is considered the No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, has changed her hair color from blonde to pink, as seen in new photos she shared on Instagram on Wednesday.
Bueckers said she liked her hair transformation in a separate TikTok video, captioning it, “Did I hear you say Pink Paige Pink?”
It included behind-the-scenes moments from her photo shoot with Madison Reed, a hair coloring company with whom she had signed a NIL contract to promote their demi-permanent hair color ColorWonder.
The corresponding campaign, “Team ColorWonder,” features Bueckers and her teammates, defenders Azzi Fudd and Morgan Cheli, and forward Isuneh Brady.
Bueckers’ pink shade “Sparkling Rose” is described as a sparkling rose gold for blonde, light brown or highlighted hair.
Fudd added bold red-violet tones to her hair with the color “The Bordeaux Flow.”
Brady’s color, “That’s So Fire,” included light copper tones.
Cheli’s Better Off Bronze color gave her hair a reddish-brown hue.
The demi-permanent hair color lasts up to 25 washes.
The quartet will serve as brand ambassadors and impact consultants during the three-year partnership between the UConn women’s basketball team and Madison Reed.
The woman-founded brand will also sponsor the Gampel Pavilion and the XL Center – the two home stadiums of the UConn basketball team – for the next three years.
Bueckers showed off her pink hair after signing a NIL contract with Unrivaled Basketball to secure an ownership stake in the basketball league founded by Breanna Stewart of the Liberty and Napheesa Collier of the Lynx.
Bueckers is also scheduled to play in the inaugural season starting in January 2025.
Thanks to partnerships with Nike, StockX, Bose, Chegg and Verizon, she is one of the highest-earning people in the world.
