The late summer NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway has begun. Drivers have had a rest thanks to the Olympics, but now with the playoffs just around the corner, it’s time to hit the ground running.
Kyle Larson heads into the weekend as the regular season points leader with 749 points. Chase Elliot and Tyler Reddick are close behind with 739 and 734 points respectively. Last year’s winner of this race, Chris Buescher, is currently in 12th place. Denny Hamlin, who won at this track in March, is a three-time winner at this track.
