Good work, X: Elon Musk’s social media company is fighting back against the Global Alliance for Responsible Media, a shady conspiracy aimed at suppressing free speech in the name of fighting disinformation.
Under CEO Linda Yaccarino, X has filed an antitrust lawsuit against GARM, its parent company, the World Federation of Advertisers, and several of the well-known companies that are members of the WFA.
A quick summary: GARM is a company created within the WFA – a global cartel that controls 90% of global advertising spending – and led by authoritarian scavenger Rob Rakowitz.
Using now discredited tools such as the Global Disinformation Index (and guided by blatant political bias) Rakowitz and his merry band of online thugs conduct advertising boycotts against websites they believe spread misinformation and disinformation.
And yet (what a shock!) the information in question is often 100% legitimate.
Such as the Washington Post’s revelations about Hunter Biden’s laptop or the now widely accepted arguments that COVID could have originated in a laboratory in Wuhan.
Some websites, such as RealClearPolitics and Reason, are blacklisted solely because of their right-wing or libertarian leanings.
Remember, kids: “disinformation” is a technical term that generally means “facts that are inconvenient to Democrats.”
And Rakowicz boasted in emails about targeting X after Musk abolished the old Twitter censorship regime; the GARM thug whined and ducked and evaded when asked about it in a recent House Judiciary Committee hearing.
And the lawsuit against X is not the only legal trouble that threatens these partisan opinion police.
At least two state attorneys general — Andrew Bailey of Missouri and Austin Knudsen of Montana — are also reportedly considering possible action.
(Funny that Biden’s anti-trust bulldog, FTC chief Lina Khan, doesn’t seem too worried about The agreements. We are sure that there are no political reasons.)
The information war that the left is waging against anyone who dares to disagree is one of the most disturbing developments in recent years.
The fact that X and others are fighting back is great news.
They must continue to strike hard in the name of freedom.
