We’re approaching mid-August, which means fall is almost here! Let’s make the most of the last weeks of summer in Seattle! There are a few concerts and some outdoor experiences happening in the city this week, so get out there and enjoy August while you can! Here are 10 things to do in and around Seattle this week.

Jhene Aiko

Jhené Aiko brings her “The Magic Hour” tour to Seattle this week, where she will be joined by Coi Leray, Tink and Kiana Ledé.

Dancing until dusk

Seattle Parks and Recreation is back again this year, hosting Dancing ’til Dusk this summer. Classes are held in parks throughout Seattle and begin with a dance lesson in the first hour. No experience is necessary, but keep in mind that partners will rotate in class. If you don’t want to do that, you can bring a partner. You can attend classes this week on Tuesday at Ballard Commons, Thursday at Cal Anderson Park, and Friday at Friends of Waterfront Seattle.

Summer concert series

On Wednesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., you can enjoy free live music at U Village’s Summer Concert Series at Village Green. The remaining concerts this season are on August 14 and 21.

Candlelight: A tribute to Taylor Swift

Candlelight concerts bring the magic of live music surrounded by the soft glow of candles. This multi-sensory music experience brings the music of Taylor Swift to the Museum of Flight this week.

Films in the Mural

If you haven’t seen it yet, the lawn of the Mural Amphitheater is being transformed into an outdoor theater this summer, with a 40-foot screen and the iconic Space Needle in view. The series takes place on Fridays, and this is one of the last weeks you can see it! It ends next week, August 23rd.

Seattle Summer Series

Sunset Dinner at Pike Place Market 2024

On Friday, August 16, the Pike Place Market Foundation brings together over 100 of the area’s finest restaurants, wineries, breweries and distilleries for the Sunset Supper at Pike Place Market. All food and beverages are included in ticket purchase and proceeds benefit the Pike Place Market Foundation.

Peso Feather
