When Tammy Slaton, one of the two stars of 1000-pound sisters on TLC, continues her weight loss, but her body isn’t the only thing changing. The 38-year-old reality star recently spiced up her look with a soft, wavy bob, which she revealed on TikTok.
Slaton, 38, lost 400 pounds during the five seasons of her TLC show, which followed her and her sister Amy’s weight loss journey and their relationships with friends and family. Slaton’s husband, Caleb Willingham, died in June 2023, but Tammy didn’t let the loss derail her.

In her TikTok video for Tinashe’s song “Nasty,” she happily nodded along to the words while showing off her new haircut from different angles. In one shot, Slaton was also seen buckled up in a car, something she couldn’t do before the surgery that helped her lose 400 pounds.
Slaton’s followers eagerly cheered her on in the comments and praised her transformation.
“You look beautiful Tammy! You are an inspiration ♥️xx,” wrote one fan.
Another cheered in all caps: “YEEESSSSS TAMMY WE LOVE THE GIRL WITH THE NEW HAIR.”
A fan of 1000-pound sisters shared the emotional response Tammy’s journey evoked in her. “Looking beautiful girl! You are amazing. I love following your journey. Seeing you more at peace with yourself shows your growth and self-love. ❤”
The television star began her career online when she and her sister began posting videos on YouTube. Eventually, the videos were discovered by TLC.
Slaton’s new look comes along with her recent nomination as “Reality Queen” in The American Reality Television Awards. She already calls herself “Queen Tammy” on Instagram, so this recognition should only boost her confidence. Other nominees in this category are Sister Wives star Christine Brown and Bravo’s Tamra Judge, both of whom are extremely popular. But whether she wins or loses, at least Tammy has a new haircut to show off at the ceremony, which will take place on Monday, November 18, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.
