The Cleveland Air Show is taking place again this weekend.

Rosanne Cash

The American singer-songwriter, who is famously the daughter of the late Johnny Cash and his first wife Vivian Cash, performs tonight at the Mimi Ohio Theater at 7:30 p.m. Cash began releasing albums in the 1970s and had a hit with “No Memories Hangin’ Around,” a somber ballad about heartbreak that showcases her smooth voice. She has been touring and recording regularly since then.

Newfound fame
The pop-punk band swings into the Agora tonight as part of a tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 2004 album. catalystThe album spawned hits like “All Downhill From Here,” “Truth of My Youth,” and “Failure’s Not Flattering,” songs that exude a Bad Religion-like urgency. The show begins at 6:30 p.m., with Sincere Engineer opening.

Pit Bull
Armando Christian Pérez, aka Pitbull, describes himself as an international superstar, educational ambassador, entrepreneur and motivational speaker. He co-owns a NASCAR racing team, also owns his own record label and has his own SiriusXM channel. Known for his high-energy Latin rock performances, he brings his Party After Dark Tour to Blossom tonight at 8 p.m.

14th Annual Made in Ohio Arts and Crafts Festival

This juried show will showcase Ohio vendors who have created unique products such as jewelry, tapestries, woodwork, hand-blown glass, soaps and lotions, spices, teas and textiles. There will also be a number of food vendors as well as local wines and beers, along with products made at Hale Farm & Village. There will also be Ohio musicians, magicians and storytellers. The event runs today, tomorrow and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Believe in CLE Yoga
The 11th annual event will once again be held at the Rock Hall. Inner Bliss Studios will provide the instructors for the event, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Cleveland Oktoberfest
Cleveland’s annual Oktoberfest begins today at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. The festival features more than 15 different types of Oktoberfest beer, German and European restaurants, tribute bands, vendors and local artisans, dachshund races, fireworks, a Miss Oktoberfest contest, a Bavarian shopping village, the Great Lakes 5K Beer Run, the Best Oktoberfest Microbrewery Competition, a vintage car show and reportedly the largest glockenspiel in the entire country. More than 100,000 people are expected to attend the event. Festivities continue through Monday, and the festival also runs Sept. 6 and 7. Check the website for the schedule and hours.

Cleveland Taco Fest
Local food trucks Barra de Taco, Barrio, Braised in Cleveland, Just Wingin’ It, Puente’s Tijuana Tacos and CLE Chicken Food Truck will be part of the four-day festival, which begins today at Jacobs Pavilion. There will also be Lucha Libre wrestling, music and daily competitions. More than 30 music and entertainment acts will perform on two stages. Friday is open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and the fun continues through Monday.

Groga Palooza Music Fest

Held at the Grog Shop in Cleveland Heights, this festival showcases local talent and out-of-state acts. There will be a variety of vendors and art installations. There will also be a screening of Stalker Jane, an indie film shot in Cleveland. The festival runs through Sunday. For more information, visit the club’s website.

Guardians vs Pittsburgh Pirates
The Pittsburgh Pirates had a .500 record all season until a losing streak in mid-August dropped them into the NL Central cellar. The Guardians are expected to win this three-game series, which begins with today’s game. First pitch is at 7:10 a.m., and there will be fireworks after the game.

Faith Kelly and Caswyn Moon
These two solo musicians, who live in upstate New York, bring their “Couple of Wanderers Tour” to 8th Day Brewing in Chagrin Falls. Moon usually starts the evening with his American rock music with old country undertones. Then Kelly plays her “spacey folk rock ‘n’ roll with Appalachian influences.” They also create daily YouTube vlogs highlighting local businesses, DIY musicians, and their adventures nationally, locally, and regionally. The show starts at 6 p.m.

17th Annual Multi-Music Festival

This annual jazz fest features Kenny Lattimore, Kirk Whalum and Jeff Lorber Fusion. The concert begins at 5 p.m. at Cain Park in Cleveland Heights.

Baseball Sculptures – The Story of an Artistic Outsider
Local indie rock band Baker’s Basement and the K9 sculptor known as Joey will be at the Sculpture Center today from 4-6 p.m. for an evening of a unique, immersive baseball sculpture experience and fundraiser. Purchasing a ticket to this event includes access to the exhibit, live music, a hot dog (including vegetarian hot dogs), a beverage (beer, wine, soda, water), baseball snacks (peanuts, Cracker Jacks and popcorn) and a chance to be entered into a drawing to win one of Joey’s sculptures. Additional beverages and hot dogs are also available for purchase.

The Cirque de la Mare on Broadway
Cirque de la Symphonie teams up with the Akron Symphony Orchestra to perform Broadway hits from Les Misérables, Frozen and Miss Saigon. The concert begins tonight at 7 p.m. at Blossom. There will also be a performance tomorrow night at 7 p.m.

National Air Show in Cleveland
This annual event will once again be held at Burke Lakefront Airport. Northern Stars Aeroteam and Franklin’s Flying Circus will be present for the festivities. Now in its 60th year, the show will feature the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels, military jet demonstrations and skydiving. There will also be a jet truck race with an airplane down the runway and interactive exhibits. The Air National Guard’s 159th Fighter Squadron’s F-15 Eagle will perform a flyby each day. Hingetown Jazz Festival
The second annual Hingetown Jazz Festival will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Bop Stop, Jukebox and Transformer Station. The free event is presented by Local 4 Music Fund. For a full schedule, visit the Local 4 Music Fund website.

Howard Jones
Eighties pop acts Howard Jones, ABC and Haircut 100 team up for this nostalgic show at TempleLive at Cleveland Masonic. Jones has just released a new live record recorded at the O2 Arena in London. The release includes live versions of “New Song,” “What Is Love?”, “Like To Get To Know You Well” and “Things Can Only Get Better.” The concert starts at 7 p.m.

Waves of consciousness
Billed as Ohio’s largest overdose awareness event, this event will be held from 5-8:30 p.m. in Public Square and will open with a memorial video from the main stage. The Ohio National Guard will place 5,000 purple flags on the lawn (symbolizing the 5,000 Ohioans who lost their lives last year), and 60 community volunteers will be on hand to provide information and resources.

Bein’ Ian with Jordan Live

Ian Fidance and Jordan Jensen record their podcast today at 7pm on Hilarities. The duo describes their podcast as something that feels like “Wayne’s World took place in Pee Wee’s Playhouse.”

Glen Hansard
The Frames singer-songwriter presents his tour in support of his latest album, last year’s Everything that was east is now west of meto the Agora. Lone Wolf and his cub: Baby carriage on the River Styx
Kenji Misumi directed the first three martial arts films in the six-part Lone Wolf and Cub series, which was inspired by a popular manga. In 1980, the film was re-edited, dubbed in English, and released under the title Shogun Assassin. The Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque is showing the film tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Squeeze
The British pop band, known for hits such as “Pulling Mussels (from the Shell)”, “Black Coffee in Bed” and “Tempted”, are on tour to celebrate their 50th anniversary and are coming to MGM Northfield Park – Center Park tonight at 7:30 p.m.

Michael Tramp
The former White Lion frontman is coming to Lakewood’s Winchester Music Tavern tonight at 7 p.m. to revisit White Lion’s catalog. He’ll revisit hits like “Wait” and “When the Children Cry,” which he’ll spice up with “modern vocals,” according to a press release.

11th Congressional District Community Caucus Labor Day Parade and Festival

Last year, 8,000 people participated in the parade, and this year’s parade, which has the theme “Empowering Our People,” is likely to draw a similar number of participants. The parade begins at 11 a.m. at the intersection of E 147th St. and Kinsman Rd.
