3 reasons why Survivor 47 can be much better than season 46

Survivors 47 Premiering on CBS this fall! We’re about a month away from the season premiere on Wednesday, September 18. As we look forward to the new season, it’s a good time to look back at the previous season. Survivor 46, tto see what changes can improve the season.

During the review, we identified three possibilities Survivors 47 can be better than season 46. Season 47 began filming right after season 46, so realistically the contestants could have watched at least some, if not all, of the previous season. They can change their games based on what we saw in season 46.

Here are the three options Survivors 47 can be better than last season.

Win Wackadoodles

See, Survivors 46 was by no means a bad season, but in my opinion it got off to a bit of a rocky start. The Yanu tribe was a mess from the start of the game and they lost almost every challenge early in the game. This means that they, not the Siga or Nami tribes, went to Tribal Council almost every week early in the game.

If Randen Montalvo could have stayed in the game, Yanu would have gone to Tribal Council and voted out a tribe member for the first four weeks of the season. That’s not good TV. That’s not good gameplay. That’s pretty sad.

And if Randen hadn’t been eliminated from the game, one of Q Burdette, Tiffany Erving and Season 46 winner Kenzie Petty would not have made it to the merge.

Of course, it’s not fun to watch a tribe lose and basically vegetate with limited food and supplies, but it’s also not really fair to the other players. The game is built around them, but the Nami tribe has never had to vote anyone out until the pseudo-merge on day 13. They played half the game without having to cast a vote, and I think that really hindered their play.

Hopefully in Survivors 47, We’re seeing more competitive immunity challenges early in the game.

My sweet, messy little friend

In addition to the poor challenges at the beginning of the season, Survivors 46 broke the all-time record for most contestants voted out of the game with a hidden immunity idol in their pocket. In season 46, we saw five contestants leave the game with an idol. Not a single idol was successfully played in the entire season.

Of course, this must change, Survivor 47. People go home with an idol in their pocket. This often happens in Survivors, and it will happen again. But it would be great if someone, anyone, played a hidden immunity idol properly in Survivor 47.

Hidden Immunity Idols can be an injection of fun and adrenaline in the game when used correctly. We have seen how the whole game has changed with idols played correctly and this would be a fun twist in Survivor 47.

Crossing the traffic lights when they are red

Despite the lack of idols, Survivors 46 was an incredible season for blindsides. It seemed like there were at least five or six votes in a row for these epic blindsides after the merge. I enjoyed some of the blindsides back then, but I’ll be honest: it was a bit much!

For me, the blindside isn’t the problem. I love exciting votes and reveals. I think the shorter, faster season is holding players back from making solid connections. The alliances aren’t real alliances and every vote can go either way. Is that the best way to watch? Survivors? It’s definitely an exciting game, but I miss the days when two loyal groups would come together for Tribal Council to see who would emerge victorious. Hidden Immunity Idols are more fun then too!

Survivors 46 was like watching a bunch of people play roulette. Basically, they were hoping each week that the ball would land on someone else’s number. Sure, that happens a lot on Survivor, but these votes are left almost too much to chance.

There was also too much discussion about big plays. We all know that’s a trademark of Survivor, but I think that’s also why there were so many upsets. Everyone was trying to make the decisive play too early in the game.

I hope in Survivors 47 The gameplay is clearer and there are fewer random surprises caused by big moves.

This is the list of changes I hope to see in Survivors 47, starting Wednesday, September 18, only on CBS and Paramount+.
