It’s Friday in Milwaukee, and here are some things we think you should know. If you would like your event to be considered for this column, please submit your news via Click here at least two weeks in advance.

Safe & Sound Inc. is hosting a financial workshop for youth ages 15-18 on Friday, August 16th from 4-6 p.m. at 4422 W. Leon Terrace. Click here to register. More information here.

UMOS is giving away school supplies and community resources to students in first through eighth grades. The giveaway will be held on Saturday, August 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2701 S. Chase Ave. More information here.

Black Men Build is a national organization that will be visiting different cities across the country to meet and connect with Black men and boys. The next stop is in Milwaukee, 2709 N. 32nd St., on Saturday, August 17th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. There will be group discussions, guest speakers, and more. Clocktower Antiques and Lost & Found MKE are hosting the third annual Walker’s Point Pop-up Market on Saturday, August 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1134 S. First St. You can purchase vintage items and purchase food from a food truck. More information here.

The Center Street Daze Festival is a family-friendly event with vendors, food and activities on Saturday, August 17th from 11am to 7pm between North Humboldt Avenue and North Holton Street in Riverwest. More information here.

Join Davidson Park and Near West Side Partners for a free Wellness Rally from 9 a.m. to noon at Davidson Park, 3725 W. Juneau Ave. Morning activities include wellness activities to improve your physical and mental well-being, education on green living and environmental health, and a marketplace with social vendors.
