1. Back to school: The new school year has begun for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS).

2. Cleaning of the leisure center: As part of the county’s recreation department’s summer cleanup, the following centers will be closed through Monday, September 2: Ross Boddy and Good Hope Neighborhood Recreation Centers, and Germantown, Lawton, Longwood, Potomac and White Oak Community Recreation Centers.
The Ross Boddy and Good Hope Neighborhood Recreation Centers and the Germantown, Lawton, Longwood, Potomac and White Oak Community Recreation Centers will be closed through Monday, September 2 as part of our summer cleanup plan.
