D23 took place earlier this month in Anaheim, California, and we’ve had lots of new announcements about additions and changes at Disney World.
It was finally confirmed that DinoLand USA. will be redesigned to make room for the brand new Tropical America Land called Pueblo EsperanzaThere is a lot of talk about this new country, Indiana Jones takes over DINOSAURand there will be a new Magical-themed attraction and a brand new carousel attraction. While these new additions are exciting and perhaps sad for DinoLand USA. Fans, there is another attraction we are losing that no one seems to be talking about.
While this was already announced at Destination D23 in 2023, it was confirmed that It’s hard being a bug! will be replaced by a brand new Zootopia show, “Zootopia: Living better zoologically together”, which will be accommodated in the Tree of Life.
No closing date has been specified for It’s hard being a bug!we can assume that this will happen soon, as it has been announced that “Zootopia: Better zooing together” opens at Wildlife in winter 2025.
We have already lost It’s hard being a bug! In Disney California Adventure When the land of beetles closed to make room for Avengers Campusand now it will no longer be when “Zootopia: Better zoological together” opens.
Not only are we losing the show, but we’re also losing an entertaining part of the pre-showroom waiting in line.
If you ever find yourself in the Tree of Life to see It’s hard being a bug!there is a vestibule where you pick up your 3D glasses and wait to be seated for the next show. In this room there are Broadway theater posters that people often miss. These posters are actually super clever and feature bug versions of Broadway shows.

Although we are sad, It’s hard being a bug go, we are looking forward to the brand new “Zootopia: Better zoological together” Show. Maybe the residents of Zootopia will be inspired by the bugs and create their own Broadway posters!
