Stranger Things continues to build fan anticipation ahead of its upcoming fifth and final season with a new look at the return of Sadie Sink’s Max.
Sinks Max was in a coma at the end of the fourth season of Stranger Things, but will return in the fifth season.
Co-director Ross Duffer shared a series of photos taken during filming of the fifth season and captioned them “Week 7-8.”

One photo showed Sink laughing with Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), after which Duffer clarified in the comments: “And FYI, that’s a picture of Sadie, not Max. Max is in a coma.”
Other photos included shots of Lucas holding Max’s hand, shadows of the past, an American flag and a Kate Bush tape.
It was previously announced in January that production of the fifth season had officially begun. Netflix Geeked Account post a photo of the cast of Stranger Things.

The photo was entirely in black and white, aside from the red neon “5” sign on the wall, while several members of the cast clutched scripts from season five. The caption read, “Take it all in, nerds. The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is officially in production.”
Season five will feature a big new name: Terminator star Linda Hamilton will appear in the Netflix series. However, she has stated that she will not watch the series as she does not want to see herself in any of her projects.
“When you really get into something, you don’t see yourself in it,” she said. “I think in some ways it ruined the show for me. I never watch (a project) once I’m in something. It would take me completely out of reality to see myself in it. So I’m not going to watch (Season 5).”
Stranger Things Seasons 1-4 are now streaming worldwide on Netflix.
