OHIO TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania (KDKA) – A man was shot and killed in a car crash in Ohio Township Thursday evening.

According to Allegheny County police, they were called to the scene of a car crash on Ben Avon Heights Road near Gass Road just before 6:30 p.m.

When detectives arrived, they found “good Samaritans” performing CPR on a man who had suffered cardiac arrest.

Paramedics took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 7:30 p.m. The medical examiner identified him as 18-year-old Jordan Nathan Ross Geiger.

At the hospital, medical staff discovered that he had been shot in the upper body.

Allegheny County Police Department Homicide Detectives are currently investigating the incident.

Police investigators are asking the public for help in identifying a white Chevy Traverse and a blue-gray Honda Accord, both with New York license plates.

On Friday, police announced that they had seized both vehicles. They believe it was a targeted shooting.

Anyone who was in the Giant Eagle or Home Depot parking lots in the Ben Avon Heights neighborhood between 6:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. on August 2 and may have cell phone or dashcam footage is asked to come forward.

They are also asking anyone with information or who may have heard a gunshot in the area of ​​Ben Avon Heights Road between 6:00 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. to contact them at the tip line 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
