Lidl’s Christmas vegetables are so damn cheap right now!

By Delish

Lidl has made all our Christmas dreams come true by slashing the prices of all the essential Christmas dinner vegetables to 15p a bag!

This great deal includes 500g of Brussels sprouts, 1kg of carrots, 1kg of red cabbage, 500g of parsnips and 1.5kg of mini roast potatoes. Also included in Lidl’s big vegetable sale is a 500g bag of shallots, but you’ll have to shell out 29p for these fancy onions.

This deal makes Lidl the cheapest place to buy your festive veg this year. However, Aldi is selling a 2kg bag of regular-sized potatoes for 19p, so for 4p more you’re getting 500g more potatoes.

This great offer is valid from today (Wednesday 18 December) and only while stocks last, so you might want to snap it up.

Some time ago, Lidl announced that it would donate more than 250,000 meals to local communities and charities over Christmas.

This means that the supermarket has donated 4.3 million meals to those in need as part of its Feed It Back campaign, which redistributes surplus food.

Feed It Back ensures that local organisations are always aware of the food available at Lidl so that the charities can use it when needed.

Christian Härtnagel, CEO of Lidl GB, said: “It is important to us that each and every one of our stores has a positive impact on the community. That is why we are proud to partner with Neighbourly, the food distribution organisation that connects our stores with over 1,500 local charities, food banks and community groups who put surplus food to good use. This way we can not only reduce food waste, but also support the important work these groups do for the people who need it most – especially during the Christmas period.”
