India’s best-selling SUV, the Tata Nexon, gets new variants with automatic transmission. The Nexon received a facelift in 2023 which came with an AMT transmission starting from the Creative variant. The AMT variant was priced at Rs 14.04 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), which makes it a bit expensive. Now that the lower variants get an AMT option, it becomes affordable at Rs 2.30 lakh. So which variants get the automatic option and what are the prices?

New Tata Nexon – Variant & Price
As for variants and prices, Tata has introduced AMT options on Smart+, Pure and Pure S variants, both petrol and diesel. Below we have listed the prices of these new variants.
Smart+ Petrol AMT – Rs 11.73 Lakh
Pure Petrol AMT – Rs 12.52 Lakh
Pure S Petrol AMT – Rs 13.10 Lakh
Pure Diesel AMT – Rs 14.28 Lakh
Pure S Diesel AMT – Rs 14.87 Lakh

Engine specifications
However, the engine specifications for petrol and diesel remain unchanged. This means that the Nexon will continue to get a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 117 bhp and 172 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, a 6-speed manual gearbox, a 6-speed AMT gearbox and a 7-speed DCA gearbox. Next, we have the 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 113 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed AMT gearbox.

The equipment list of these variants is also the same as before. The list includes: 7.0-inch Harman touchscreen system, 4 speakers + 2 tweeters, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, push-button engine start/stop, cooled glove box, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights and height-adjustable driver’s seat.
