Drake releases three new songs from his Finsta this week

Drake has officially released three songs that recently appeared on his Finsta account.

On Tuesday, August 6, Drake surprised his fans by sharing three previously unreleased tracks on his Finsta account plottttwistttttt. Now, these tracks are available on digital streaming platforms. On Saturday, August 10, Drake officially released the songs titled “It’s Up” featuring Young Thug and 21 Savage, “Blue Green Red,” and “Housekeeping Knows” featuring Latto for everyone to stream.

Additionally, these tracks were featured on a website called 100 Gigs for Your Headtop. This site is essentially a data repository full of old photos of Drake, behind-the-scenes videos, and apparently some artwork showcases. The site was created in June of this year and currently has 260 items.

The way these songs were released has raised eyebrows. It’s puzzling why Drake would post them on streaming services without prior notice. As it turns out, the 6 God was hit with a copyright infringement notice from Universal Music Group, which led to the temporary closure of his IG Burner account, where the songs originally appeared.

Although the copyright notice listed UMG as the plaintiff, it did not clearly state whether the recently released songs were the reason the Instagram account violated the copyright agreement. This incident has sparked a broader discussion about artists’ legal rights regarding music and intellectual property.

Fans can now listen to the three songs Drake originally released on his Finsta account.
