How to get tickets for LA28

The Olympic and Paralympic Games will be held in Los Angeles in the summer of 2028. This will be the third time the city has hosted the Olympic Games and the first time it has hosted the Paralympic Games.

With the 2024 Paris Olympic Games ending on August 11 and the 2024 Paris Paralympics beginning on August 28, many are eagerly making plans for the next Olympic Games.

The 2029 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles will begin with the Opening Ceremony on July 14, 2028, followed by the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Games on August 15, 2028. The opening and closing ceremonies of the LA Games are sure to be a star-studded event.

The Games will feature over 50 Olympic and Paralympic sports, 800 events and more than 3,000 hours of live action at 80 venues in Southern California.

How to get tickets for LA28

The official ticket service providers for LA28 are AXS and CTS EVENTIM.

According to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs) are responsible for ticket sales.

Ticket sales information will be available on the official LA28 website and the IOC website shortly before the event.

Tickets for the LA28 Olympics can be purchased through the official LA28 website and AXS.

When will the tickets be available?

Exact dates for ticket sales have not yet been announced, but they could be available in November 2027; tickets for the Paris Games went on sale at the end of the same month in 2023.

Where will the next Olympic Games take place?

Los Angeles is known for its legendary sporting venues, many of which have hosted Olympic competitions. Notable venues include:

  • SoFi Stadium: Venue of the largest swimming event in Olympic history.
  • Crypto.com Arena: Venue for gymnastics competitions.
  • The LA Memorial Coliseum: Organisation of athletics events.

Other venues include the Intuit Dome for basketball, the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area for BMX and skateboarding, and Exposition Park for diving competitions. Some events are held outside of Los Angeles, such as canoe slalom and softball, which are held in Oklahoma City.

How much will the tickets cost?

Details on ticket prices and packages have not yet been announced, but based on previous Olympics, it is expected that a variety of ticket options will be available, including single tickets and multi-event packages. There may also be special offers for families, groups and early buyers.

Investing in youth sports

In anticipation of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks launched the Play LA initiative, which aims to provide accessible and inclusive sports programs for youth of all abilities in Los Angeles.

In 2022, 90,000 children will participate in the program and $160 million has been pledged to fund youth sports, with $30 million invested to date. It is estimated that Play LA will reach over 1 million children by 2028.
