FG launches app to make it easy to switch to CNG — Technology — The Guardian Nigeria News – Nigeria and World News

The federal government has introduced an application to make it easier for Nigerians to switch to compressed natural gas (CNG).

Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu, Dada Olusegun, disclosed this in a statement on his X account on Sunday.

“Finally, the Presidential CNG Initiative has launched an app to make it easier for Nigerians to switch to CNG,” said Olusegun.

“The app, which can be downloaded from both the Google Store and Apple Store, provides real-time information on conversion centers in your area, helps you book your conversion appointment, offers discounts on purchases and provides up-to-date information on fuel prices.

“You can also expect a massive price drop when booking with Bolt and other ride-sharing companies as the FG has launched the RideShare CNG Conversion Incentive Programme, which allows drivers to convert their cars at a discount.”

According to Olusegun, the strategic journey to equip Nigeria’s transport sector with a clean energy source has begun in earnest.

He added that no stone would be left unturned and that the federal government was working hard to make the introduction of the law as easy as possible.
