The Rookie Star Tru Valentino shares a heartfelt reaction to his exit from the hit ABC show ahead of Season 7. Recently, it was reported that Valentino, who plays Aaron Thorsen, would exit The Rookie Cast. Valentino made his first appearance as Aaron in season 4 before becoming a series regular starting in season 5. He has been a regular on the show since then, including during the strike-shortened season 6.

Valentino, a frequent voice actor also known for Cuphead, looked back positively on his time on the series and seemed to hint that Aaron could appear in the future. He writes, in part: “You never know who will resurface in the Mid-Wilshire Precinct.” Valentino’s contributions are included above.

For those who don’t know Valentino’s character: Aaron is introduced The Rookie as a sort of social media celebrity who gets into trouble. After being acquitted in a high-profile trial, he joins the police force and works closely with John Nolan (played by lead actor Nathan Fillion). After a few seasons of exploring police work, it could well be that the wealthy character prefers to return to a less stressful life.


Although nothing has been confirmed yet, The Rookie Season 7 could bring back Aaron Thorsen as a guest character based on Valentino’s hint. There could be a situation where one of his former teammates visits him to ask for advice, and in doing so, the show could reveal what Aaron is up to. The Rookie Season 7, which currently has no premiere date on ABC, will welcome two new characters to fill the void left by Aaron’s departure.
