Corvette Wheels Limited – Special Refund Program

Corvette Wheels Limited – Special Refund Program
The Cracked Wheels program includes the 2015-2019 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and the 2017-2019 Corvette Grand Sport.

— Broken and bent wheels on the Chevrolet Corvette were a problem for some car owners and prompted General Motors to announce the Corvette Wheels Limited – Special Refund Program.

The Corvette Cracked Wheel Refund Program covers the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (2015-2019) and Corvette Grand Sport (2017-2019) vehicles.

The program is available to former and current owners and tenants, but conditions must be met.

You must prove that the crack or bent wheel was not caused by impact damage or damage from road hazards.

GM says the amount of reimbursement or other alternative remedies under the program will depend on whether the repair or replacement was performed by a GM dealer, the type of documentation provided and when the repair or replacement occurred.

Current and former Corvette owners and lessees can submit two different types of documents proving that a cracked or bent wheel was not caused by impact damage or damage from road hazards.

A customer of a 2015-2019 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 or 2017-2019 Corvette Grand Sport may use service records, receipts, or invoices showing that a wheel repair or wheel replacement was performed for a bent or cracked wheel.

However, the documentation must “expressly” state that there was no impact damage or damage caused by road hazards, “such as cracks, holes, cuts, tears and breaks caused by impact with potholes, curbs or other objects, or wording to a similar effect”.

Customers of a 2015-2019 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 or 2017-2019 Corvette Grand Sport may also submit, under penalty of perjury, an affidavit from the owner or lessee “certifying that the vehicle received a wheel repair or wheel replacement for a bent or cracked wheel and that, to the best of the owner’s or lessee’s knowledge and belief, the wheel repair or wheel replacement was performed for reasons other than damage caused by impact damage or road hazards.”

However, according to the Corvette rim program:

“However, you will not be eligible to receive benefits under the Program if you have service records, receipts or invoices from GM, an authorized GM dealer or other vehicle repair or maintenance facility that specifically state that a wheel repair or replacement was performed for reasons such as, but not limited to, damage from impact damage or damage from road hazards such as cracks, punctures, cuts, tears and breaks due to potholes, curbs or other objects, or language to the effect of similar intent.”

If you paid to repair or replace a bent or cracked wheel on your Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (2015-2019) or Corvette Grand Sport (2017-2019) during the 4-year/48,000-mile extended warranty period from the start of the original warranty and provide proof of payment with receipts from a GM dealer, you will be reimbursed 100% of your deductible(s) for the wheel repair or replacement, regardless of whether or not the wheel repair or replacement was performed at a GM dealer.

“However, if the deductible exceeds the cost of repairing or replacing a base OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) wheel, reimbursement is limited to the cost of repairing or replacing a base OEM wheel.” — Corvette rim program

The deadline to file a claim for cracked or bent wheels on a Chevy Corvette is January 25, 2025. Customers with questions can call 833-941-5297.

GM dealers should not be contacted about the Corvette wheels program. Only Analytics Consulting can help you, so this is the company you need to deal with regarding the extended warranty coverage and repair reimbursement program.

You can only receive a refund if you send the refund request form along with all required documents to Analytics Consulting.

You will also be required to sign a general waiver of legal matters.

Due to previous class action lawsuits involving cracked Corvette wheels, CarComplaints.com asked GM if the Corvette Wheels Limited Special Reimbursement Program was related to a settlement of the lawsuit, but the automaker did not respond.
